Well the EVO may hit the states a little sooner, but if they are anywhere near the same price why pick the lesser of the two?

For my money this is not gonna be one of those "too close to call" contests.

Am I missing something?

I think the STi will be around $32k-34k, so that's couple grand over the Evo

We all know spec-wise the US STi should be superior to the US Evo. What really gets me though is how they dumbed down the appearance of the Evo. Even though I MUCH prefer the front end of the current WRX (round headlights), I still think the upcoming STi looks infinitely better than the upcoming Evo. The Evo looks like a "slightly sporty" economy car. Big big mistake on Mitsubishi's part in my opinion.

I would go Subaru all the way.

I'd take a USDM STi over the USDM EVO.
IMO, I think the STi looks way better than the EVO inside and out.

From what I've read the EVO handles better, so I guess I would.

FMIC isn't always better.. and in the case on a car not designed with one, you may just end up overheating from blocking the radiator.

Price and weight of the STI have not been announced. For the most part I think the UK folks like the EVO's better for their handling and feel. Ya, the STI may have a little more grunt, but it will also cost about $3k more.

To each their own. I am sticking with the evo (first in my area on the list...should be in my garage within a month or so. )
