I sold Hondas for a little over a year when I was younger. I am courteous to the salespeople if they are courteous to me.

Though I did have a bad experience with Future Ford of Clovis. I wanted to take a look at the new GT500 at the time and when I asked about it, the ****tard salesman decided to "qualify" me by asking a bunch of financial questions I didn't want to answer, then walked me over to a bunch of GTs, and after I told him I didn't ask to look at a ****in GT, he led me out the door. I was seriously stunned, like the place was his home or something.

I haven't had any bad experiences at dealerships, especially since I have only purchased one car my entire life so far, and my dad was the one who actually bought it.
I have read every post on here and I'm just glad I didn't have to deal with that nor that I have to for another 5 or 6 years.

I guess I've only bought 4 new cars, but I've never seen the 4-box.

I never put money down on a car, as I dont' see the point. So I always negotiate the price or the payment, depending on which way the sales guy wants to go. I'm armed w/ my own paper grid w/ the interest rates on one axis in 1/4 % increments and the price down the other, with the payment in the intersection of the axes. Works pretty well to reality check these guys.

Sometimes I wish they attach a barcode to cars, you scan the damn thing and check out.

Not me. Car sales work on positives and negatives. I buy every car at invoice or less so if a barcode scheme came out I'd be paying more. Purchasing negotiation and skill is an art, an art everyone should learn.

They do, and it's called a sticker price, but most people don't wanna pay the "barcode" prices.

Most dealerships are blood-sucking leeches, but some are okay though.
