Default Winter rims/tires for M3?

With the response on the "who doesn't fawn over the M3" thread... I figured I'd throw out this question here rather than the BMW boards... mainly cuz this site is far more entertaining.

So what wheel/tire combos are people running in the winter for their e46 M3's?

Don't have an M3, but on our RL, we've used the Dunlop Wintersport M3's with great success. I've also heard great things about Nokian's as well.

My Dad has these for his '04 GTO and they seem really good in the snow/ice, plus they still perform fairly well in the dry.

For my M3, I bought a set of 18" OEM M3 Rims (about $600) and put on Dunlop Winter Sport M3's. Very nice combo and saved my 19" for the warmer months.

M3's on the M3 make sense, but I only drive once or twice every two weeks in the winter... Plus, Toronto doesn't get that much snow. Mostly just cold and dry. M3's are a little pricey for the amount of snow they'll see. Any other alternatives?

i used LM22s mounted on Type 44 (325) wheels on my 330Ci. I cant seem to recall if other 3 series wheels fit the M, but i think the m68s from the 330ci do. id find a used set on e46fanatics or bimmerforums and mount some LM22s on them
