WHY!?! WHY!?! The Honda Pilot has been slightly changed, take a look!

I don't get the Honda mentality. I can understand why one would buy an S2000, NSX or anything with a Type-R badge on it. But I just don't get how someone thinks a mediocre car like the Pilot is hot. Personally, I think it sucks, it looks bland and boring, it doesn't break ground in any way, and worst of all, it's a wannabe-truck. Sure it seats 7, but I'd way rather have a Subaru Forrester or a Toyota Highlander than that thing. Hell, even a Chevy Trailblazer is more desirable than that car, for it's 4l inline 6 engine alone.

The Toyota to compare the Honda Pilot to is the Highlander, not the RAV4.

airgate, don't give up on the Pilot already. Make sure u see one in person before u decide. Pictures can be deceiving.
it looks a little generic, but remember that Honda wanted some family resemblence with the CRV. Honda is hoping that people who wanted a SUV larger than a CRV would buy the Pilot. besides, u didn't really believe that honda would sell a MDX with a $5k discount and make it nicer than a 'X.

Yep, you're right. If I want to go offroad, I'll buy a used CJ-7 or Landcruiser, but today's SUV's are basically useless offroad. If you're staying on the road, a WRX station wagon will outhandle 100% of the SUV's out there, will travel on every single road an SUV can, and will actually go some places that a stock truck can't (I've seen a stock WRX climb Oldsmobile Hill - most V8 trucks don't make it), and I don't have to worry about it flipping over if a tire blows. All in all, SUV's are pretty useless vehicles. I know, we own one.

lets not forget all the xtra fuel just to get them going,
useless except for the worker that is how I see it.
If you really need it, then buy it, if you are a mother
that can't drive and thinks she is secure in an suv, please
forget the idea buy a car that won't kill other people when you
ram them, lol
