the shifter feels like a banana in a bag of sand.
LOL!!
love this description, the c5z shifter isnt amazing like the s2k but its def not bad and it doesnt miss, shorter throws would be nice though!
i love the c5 shifter- use 2 fingers and slap the shit out of it... its not as tight as the s2k but its oddly amazing

After sleeping on it, I decided the 370Z would probably be preferable b/c even though it falls short in some subjective aspects (mainly NVH) vs. the M3's, it seems to have good bang for the buck as a track car.
Fyi, did you see Nissan is dropping the price on Zs next year by $3-4k? That's going to impact the used market significantly, and new, they will actually be listed at $30k.

If I wanted a track car, I might look at an FC with a V8 swapped in already, a 350/370 Z, or the Vette with better seats.

Chris-

things ive done in 2 months with the c5z:
valve springs (didnt need new valve cover gaskets or the valve stem seals i bought)
Column lock bypass
Skip shift elim
redline 75w90 diff fluid
redline atf trans fluid
motor oil change Mobile 1
Volant air filter/ air bridge

Next on the list is a set of electronic cut outs to go right behind the H pipe... Ive been looking at exhausts prices/gains and i think my best option is the cut outs with a switch wired to the cabin
