FYI, the AWD in that car is not a true quattro: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quattro_(all_..._system)#Haldex

The car looks nice but it's not something to get excited about.
Good thing there's the Haldex controllers via the aftermarket

If you mean sorted out by adding extended warranty on the HPFP, I'll have to disagree. The HPFP has not been reengineered by BMW and is still prevalent in the 09s. I believe they switched manufacturers for some parts in an effort to correct their issues, but it didn't work. Every 10th thread on bimmerfest is an HPFP failure. A warranty for a part is useless if they're not replacing it with a fixed part. They should have just had a recall and not this case by case BS with an extended warranty.

I was given a 335 by a dealer to try for a few days when I was in the market. I told the salesman I knew about the HPFP issues and it was a major detractor for the car. He told me they weren't an issue (but what salesman would), and so he offered to loan me a car for a few days. I really wanted to like the car besides its not so attractive exterior. It went into limp mode on me. Of course, it wasn't brand new, and probably had been driven spiritedly often, but still unacceptable. It was horrifying.
Wow that sucks. I think the Audi looks very sexy! I do not feel that it is no more a chic than an S2000. Heck I see plenty of chics driving the 3 series Bimmers as well.

Who cares!

The Audi is fast enough and can be made faster with just a chip, looks unique and is very uncommon in regards to seeing them everyday. The interior rocks like any other Audi and it is AWD to boot!

Seems like a fun little car.

Overpriced for what you get. You can get a 370Z+ mods or a Corvette for the price of a TTS.

Did you see the link above? It's not really AWD at all. Only 2.5% of the power goes to the rear wheels.

I kinda figured it was fwd biased so I did not bother to click the link based on peoples response, but I had no clue it was that drastic!

//THREAD!

And for the record based on the links by thebigg33tuna I would take an ISF
for that kinda coin as well!

Of course I am biased!

Dude that really sucks about the AWD.

Yeah, I actually was considering one (a regular TT quattro, no way I could afford a TT-S), but then I saw that. It's basically AWD only when the front wheels lose traction.

"Enthusiasts often either use the OEM ECU and engine management from a newer Volkswagen Group car to control the Haldex centre clutch using the standard ABS road wheel speed sensors - or can buy aftermarket controllers that supply the relevant pulse-width modulation to actuate the clutch and transfer drive to the rear wheels either via simple variable dial or based on throttle position sensor (TPS) calculations."

So it is not adjustable stock?^^^^^^

Quick Reply: Why not the TT-S?
