Before I shitlisted BMW I looked at the 135i convertible - that car with a few mods (bringing it close to 400HP territory) was an interesting option, but it was still kind of pricey (I would've just done my original intent a C6 for that cost).
Sorry to the 1-series owners... I really do like the car beneath the skin!

it looks great but there is no performance and that price is just crazy.

I'd rather have a preowned S5, now that's a sexy Audi!
Unfortunately as soon as I start thinking of heavy cars, suddenly my enthusiasm to spend a bunch of money goes away, but it's a great deal for somebody else.

Funny you bring that up, I was noticing that the S5 is ridiculously cheap... it's only a few thousand more than the TT-S *new*, which is kind of...

There's a *nice* 335 Coupe for sale right here on the forum right now (I think maybe BMW has been vetoed, but it's a nice ride):

Where are you finding them cheap? The used ones within 300 miles of me are going for 55k. That's hardly cheap considering what they were new.

I've test driven a few 335i coupes, and while it is a great car to drive, the turbo issues and more notably, the fuel pump issues, make me extremely hesitant to ever own one outside of warranty unless they can get their reliability issues sorted.
To the OP, you can pick up a nice CPO'd 335 for around $30K and it's a great car especially if it's your only car. It's comfortable...it's fast and slap some M3 CSL replicas on it and they look fantastic. Drive it back to back with the Audi and I"m betting you will cross the Audi off your list with a quickness. In addition to which, the TT really is a chic car.
