Pssst. There was a local new CR selling for $27,500....
I love the S and a CR is a great car, but if I'm going to spend some money, I want something more substantially different than that. Otherwise I'll just do what I have been: keeping my '04 S.

By the way, in posting this I was hoping to get some people who have actually *driven* the TT-S (if it includes track/autocross driving, all the better). Anybody?

For all the crap the Miata takes as being a chick car, I think the TT beats it. All the women think its "cute" and they are the only ones I see driving them, my friend Nancy has one. Not my thing I guess.

I buy the chick car argument for the convertible, but I always thought the hardtop TT (especially the S) was much more of an enthusiast's car. Thanks for the opinion though.

FYI, the AWD in that car is not a true quattro: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quattro_(all_..._system)#Haldex
The car looks nice but it's not something to get excited about.

High entry price, Audi ownership cost, less than stellar performance figures. Car is beautiful, built seemingly by artisans, and still has grunt, but for the price there are just better cars out there. But it's basically a gti under the beautiful skin, and you really pay for its dress.

So it sounds like you don't want a roadster any longer? Just curious, because if you compare roadster vs. roadster there's [obviously] a different set of options.
I saw someone post some cars like a C63 which seems like a far different experience (not even factoring in the hardtop).
