why not more gull wing doors

Default why not more gull wing doors

what is the downside to those doors?

They only look good on certain cars and can be considered ricey. Please do not put them on the S2k which would be next to impossible hahaha.

Also they are not good in tight parking spaces.

I don't think this was true. Are these the same as the DeLoreon? I remember hearing that the doors were designed so that when they go up, they don't even stick out on the way up, which meant you can actually park tighter than regular cars. I know for a fact that "Lambo kits" don't work like this in that you have to stick out the door a little bit before you can lift them up.

i'm guessing lots of reasons including: reduced head room due to the hefty hinges and hydrolics to keep the door up, takes away the possiblities of sunroofs, shorter people will have harder times reaching up to close the doors, etc.
