Why do people assume bigger is better?

sports car will fit 3 people or under (remember the Mclaren F1)
race cars are for one person (the driver, and maybe the navigator as in rally racing)
family cars have a capacity of 4 or more people

A-f'ing-men! For driving enjoyment, I believe that smaller is almost always better. I'd probably still be motorcycle-only if it weren't for all the bozo drivers that were out to kill me. I'd own a Caterham if I thought my wife would ride in it.
Despite all the speed, they share many features with the super-practical car I want that doesn't exist:
* Easy to park
* Great gas mileage
* Has all the seating I need for 99% of my driving (I also have a weekend car)
* Relatively inexpensive insurance
* Lightweight fun

So the Ferrari 2+2 isn't a sports car?
Regardless his logic is in my view flawed. Because my 911 turbo has 4 seats it is now a family car -- the same for the Ferrari? Yeah okay.

Define crazy. The kid likes acceleration, it makes her laugh. Why should I have to suffer through the experience of driving an Accord, Camry etc just because I want to carry more than 2 people in the vehicle?

Maybe I can answer my own question.
Bigger = bigger HP = bigger top speed.
I'm thinking about the Bugatti or ME412 can go 240-250 mph
I'm sure most owners won't ever go that fast but it's great for bragging.
A track car may be faster (around the track) with a lower top speed b/c of tight gearing. I'm thinking about the 911 GT3 CS; I read it's top speed due to gearing is like 169mph. A supercar is more about top speed than track time (in general).
