Who's driven an nsx?
I'm curious how amazing nsx's are. Would you keep an paid off s2k and build that or sell it and use money for a down payment on an nsx? I know they're nasty cars but I've never actually drove one to see if it fits me. I'm also considering a lotus elise if not an nsx. So paid off s and build it or nsx or lotus elise?

Never driven one, but based on what they were originally created for, it's a wonderful machine. I hope to get one in a few years myself, simply because I have always loved the look and technology behind it.

IMO, having driven a 94 and 96, they are pretty much just like the S2000, but they are quieter with a hard top, have a bit more push from torque (AP2 drives more like an NSX), and handle more like an MR rather than a FR, but aren't really any faster or better. As much as I love the looks, I have never been able to justify giving up the convertible top and 99% the performance for what in my mind is an overinflated price. For NSX money I'd just get a faster, newer sports car, and for the performance, I'd get an S2000. The S2k shows how much progress was made in the decade since the introduction of the NSX in terms of power and technology. The NSX has looks and rarity going for it, but its not even my favorite 90s sports car, and obviously, I own an S2000, if that tells you where my preferences lie.

Not very. date interior and exterior. High price tag with only decent performance to come with. As you can see I have never cared for the car too much

For the money, I'd get the Elise.

I love NSX's and really want to own one one day, but I know there are plenty of other cars which are much, much better performance for the price. Keep your S. I thought about selling mine for an Elise/Z4M, but I started tracking it instead and very glad I kept it. Now it's quickly turning into a track car. Have you ever brought your S to the track?

I drove a 91 NSX a couple months ago, the early cars IMO are not nearly as good as our S2k's. Maybe the 3.2 NSX's are good, but no worth the price of admission. I'll say this, the owner was getting rid of his NSX to make room for his newly acquired AP2.
