BIG UP......50 CENT in a $150,000 360 Modena

don't be a hater

"I wish ferrari would go back to their old sales tactic (Bentley and Rolls had it too) that you had to be approved to own one. "

Just curious, since your obviously an advocate, maybe you'd know, what exactly would be the criteria for 'approval'?

Wow, calpilot7, I give you a lot of credit. I too have never liked the looks of Porsche, especially now days when the front headlights look like squashed frogs. But to openly post, wow. I used to but I gave up because very few people agree with me. But that's okay, I know opinions vary...

So everybody, before you start throwing read the following paragraph.

As a long term racing fan, I know how good Porsches are. They have a winning heritage that is absolutely undeniable. They make a great performance machine, and they have been a part of some of the world's best race teams. I know that. I agree with that. I don't believe their performance is the core of the debate here.

I would NEVER own a Porsche. If one was given to me I would sell it. I just absolutely hate the look. It's like they had an original thought back in the early '60s when they created the 901. And now every time they make it more modern or add more power they go to their JC Whitney catalog and look for ideas on how they can add a scoop here or a fender bulge over there, anything to try and make it look different. When in fact, it is nothing more than a 40 year old revised 901 visually.

You can park that Ferrari in my driveway anytime. I don't car if it's and old one, or a new one, a fast one or a slow one. The bottom line is - it looks good. Sorry Porsche, you loose my vote, but then again, you did not loose it, because you never had it.

Why do I have a feeling Magnum or Crockett or going to pop out of those cars if they pull up. I like the new Ferraris (360, 355, 550/575's, F50's) but everytime I see one of the old Ferraris I remember that some of their designs didn't age very well. The 308/328/348's are just plain old, and who can not associate the Tesstarosa with the 80's, the F40 looks very mechanical now compared with the F50.

Ok people....get some clues......

First off....I didnt say flossin....I was repeating what another member said....read carefully.

Rai.....there were only 200 porsche 959's built (street versions) EVER.....Ferrari made 399 this year....and Im sure they will make more.

Now to the people who say Im hating.....hardly. I went to a Funk Master Flex show, and saw some things that made me sick. All these drug dealers, rappers, etc......getting Ferrari's, living in the worst parts of NYC, putting on 24" chromies, etc. I used to think like you guys, until I actually met Ferrari owners who said that they will never buy another one because a Ferrari is no longer what it was.

As for what I think the "approval" would be....the same as a manhattan coop. Just because you have the money, does not mean you can live anywhere. You must first get approved by a board. Madonna got turned down twice by a board when she wanted to buy an apartment on Cental Park South....

Not all morons with money should own Ferrari's ...agree with me or not, this IS OUT OF FERRARI OWNERS MOUTHS.....

And if you really think that rappers, and musicians deserve that much money, then you need to step back into reality. People are so quick to flame...but dont stop and think about what is really being said. You guys dont own a ferrari......If you did, you would not want lil bow wow to pull up next to in the same car. And dont kid yourselves that I am hating. I KNOW that everyone has been at a light, and a young kid in a brand new m3 pulls up and laughs and says.....NICE HONDA! And you say "f*ckin daddy's money"

Argue with me all you want, but Ferrari's image is DESTROYED by this.
