Who would consider the UGLY 996 over a 360 Ferrari or Ford GT40

Everybody has their own opinions, but I have heard the 360 Modena is ugly compared to the 355, or the new Viper looks tame compared to the old Viper GTS. I think the Z06 looks terrible compared to the coupe (Z06 is the hardtop configuration) or convertible. Every car has it's shortcomings. Even the new GT40 is priced $70K over the Viper for similar performance and that can be construed as "what the hell is Ford thinking." Personally I think the GT2 or GT3's are among the best looking cars in the world.

Ever heard the expression..."one man's meat is another man's poison"?

I do not like the looks of a 996 without a rear spoiler, ala Turbo, GT3, or GT2. Is that a crime? In fact, I like the looks of any number of cars over the plain jane 996 (ie: 350Z, C5/Z06, Viper, S2K, etc.).

Outside of the untouchable exotic goodness that is the Carrera GT, the GT2 is the best looking Porsche ever made especially to the younger generation that didn't grow up with the older models.
It doesn't need any sort of body kit short of painting that black front lip body color and adding a set of quality rims with a good dish to them. Stock Porsche rims look like crap. Just take a look at the GT3 rims. Nasty. And the GT3 in all honesty isn't a good looking car. It's made to be good looking by the marvel that it is on the road course.
I'm not too crazy about bone stock cars and that includes the 911. They all need a bit of the body kit assistance and a nice set of aftermarket rims to really make them stand out. Otherwise, you kinda get lost in the everyday Porsche driving crowd.
In terms of pure driving thrill and flossin' power, Porsches can't hold a candle to the all-mighty Ferrari. I hope I get a chance sometime sooner than later to take an F1 F355 (best looking mid-engined Ferrari, best sounding Ferrari) through its paces. I can only imagine how unreal the feeling, the sound... sheesh. I've done it with the 360 Spider with an aftermarket exhaust. It was awesome, but the sound didn't meet my expectations.
As for the F20C S2000... I love it like no other car priced under $50K, but a definite stepping-stone car.
Give me Porsche next, pls.
