i was just curoius who is sponsored by a aftermarket preformance company-I.E. AEM, Mugen and so on, and how did you get it

The guys who are sponsored usually own the companies that sponsor them. Unless you are better than everyone else and have the money to go prove it until a sponsor comes along you are going to need alot of luck or inside help.

so thats how those guys do it, it all makes sense now,
in that case i just opened my own company and am sponsering myself, now all i need are some goddy stickery

Yeah...I say just come up with some logo...make sure it "looks" JDM and you'll be golden...you can just sell re-named Mustang mufflers for the S2000 and create your own Dyno chart...and you are GOLDEN!!

ya and my jdm logos will add 25whp and 97% better gas milage, i will put them on ebay

Spend thousands to save a few hundred, being sponsored in a nutshell. Shop will throw you some good discounts if they see potential in your car being in the show circuits or getting a lot of exposure, but to get to that point if you don't know that shop you're going to spend a boatload of money.

I notice going to the show doesn't really help to get sponsored, but if you have potential to obtain media attention, then it a different story.

I just don't get the whole car show scene, and putting a million ricey stickers on your car to get the ricey parts you installed at a discounted price...but more power to those who enjoy it.
