Honda doesn't participate in car rental's. I'm sure the logic behind it is that it'll bring down their long term value.

The Toyota Sienna is pretty good (a lot better than the Dodge vans IMO) and you should be able to rent the Sienna from a major rental company.

I see the logic, but there is much to be said if Honda did rent the Oddy. People who normally buy Dodge will see how lacking the Dodge is and will be tempted to the Honda.

2 years ago I rented a Sienna (own one also) but the last time I had no choice when I got there and had to get a Dodge and (IMO) it's a POS compared to Honda/Toyota.

That's odd, considering my rental this week is an Accord.

Try calling Hertz and the other higher-end rental companies and see what vans they rent. I think national rents Odysseys...

You could also ask a dealer to take one home for an extended test drive, but they might get upset when you return it with an extra 2,000 miles on it...

Actually Honda participates in rental sales, albeit at a much lower amount when compared to the competition.

I.e. 1.1% of all Accords sold in 2006 were fleet sales (includes rental, gov, and commercial). Compared to the competition, that amount is nothing.

With respect to rental Oddyseys, they will be hard to find. The stats show less than 100 Oddyseys registered for rental purposes in 2006.

Maybe he's in sales, saying it with conviction is 90% of the game!
