in a way both. If I knew exactly what is was, I could've answered it myself, but I don't want to be one of those guys who acts like they know it all when they don't OR one of those guys try to those big words but in wrong way...

I knew about the spool, PSI, exhaust, and forced induction, but I wasn't sure about exactly when (RPM) it occurred and how often does the lag repeats, etc.

I can get away with only knowing the basics, but if someoneelse asks me, I don't want to give them an incomplete answer.

In the military we have a simple saying if we don't know something. "I don't know, but I'll find out, and will get back to you." Well, that kinda came out automatically, so I'm getting back to her on it.

Amen. I can respect a guy much more who's willing to admit when he doesn't know something, than a guy who pretends to know and just spews false information..


And enlightenment, you're right. We all have to learn sometime, and there's no shame in that. The way the question was asked just made me laugh because it sounded like the classic, "I have this 'friend' who wants to know...."
