So much for Honda love....
I was going to chime in and also suggest a rental car, or spend the next few months going to dealerships on the weekends and test driving different manual trans cars. Save the dough on the rental.
The transition car does not make sense to me. to each their own.

get the S2000, a 10-year-old model can be had for (relatively) little money these day.
if you trade car, then you'll lose at least $1000 on taxes and other costs. Not worth the hassles.
