What'd you get for $120K(ish) price of a 911 tt ?
There was a question of the "best" all around car. I think the 911 tt is great "only car", in that it's sporty, fast, at home on the highway and the back road, featues and amenities, AWD stability etc...
For me however I'd far rather get 2-3 cars for the same coin.
So I'd pick:
S2000 ($32K)
LS430/MB E class/5 series ($60K)
Subaru Outback 2.5L turbo MT ($27K)
So would you rather have one everyday car for $120K(ish) or 2, 3, or 4 other cars for the same price??

at >=100 i'd rather have one car. you can get some seriously nice cars.
for anything less than 100 i'd rather have two as there really isn't anything OUTSTANDING for 100k.
If you look hard enough you can get a used GT2 for 120...that would be my choice.

I really don't need multiple cars right now. I guess if I needed to transport people or something I might get a sporty car and a sedan/SUV. I like the 911 TT and agree for the novice/good driver it is the best all around car on the market. The GT2/GT3 would probably bite up and kill me as I was doing 80 around a corner or something.

Dunno why, but I've never been a big fan of the 996TT. For that kind of $, I can think of a few scenarios. Maybe a Z51 C6 and 300C (though the 300C is subject to change...I've always really liked the 330i with p.p.) for me and an RX330 for the Mrs. Or, let the Mrs. fend for herself and get a 997 Carrera S and an E500 (preferably a wagon) for me, but this may get a little over $120K, so I'd settle for an E350 wagon if necessary.

I don't think any 911 turbo owners only have one car.

Give me a Z51 C6 and a new Range Rover HSE or a Cayenne S.

I'd get an Esprit V8 for weekends/vacation roadtrips, a hybrid (civic or Prius) for daily commuting and some sort of track toy (S2K, Miata, Elise).
So that's what I did
