What are your thoughts on '05 G35c 6spd?
What are your thoughts on the new 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6-spd? I just ordered one. We test drove the coupe auto (East coast doesn't have the 6-spd yet) and we were quite impressed. 2 things I loved most were seats and wheels. I ordered the Lakeshore Slate color (off blue) with Stone leather (grey) interior w/ the Aero package. Bad thing is, I'll have to wait until March to get it.
Std features are listed on www.infiniti.com
It comes fairly loaded. Sport-tuned Suspension Package is std on 6-spd.
Sport-tuned suspension
Viscous Limited-slip Rear Differential
19-inch 5-spoke forged aluminum-alloy wheels
Aluminum pedals
Perforated leather and orange stiching on steering wheel
I read all the specs and read up on g35 forums, etc. Just wanted someone else's input. Any thoughts, comments, feedback would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,
LT

I think they are very nice cars, great performance and grunt, though it is not as nimble as the s2k, but i'm sure it would be a fun car to own, it is on my favs list.

post some pics when you get it.
btw, just a helpful hint - you don't need to list the standard equipment next time. Most of us are quite knowledgedble about the cars out on the market.

Very nice car, especially the new ones. Increase in hp, and imprevement on the interior (this was needed). I was definitely considering the 04, before I bought my current car. The VQ engine (what Nissan essentially uses in all their V6 cars) is a great engine with quite a bit of aftermarket suport. You can get numerous SC, single turbo, and dual turbo kits for it.

The new interior is a big improvement over the 03-04, too bad the Brembos are gone, it was some nice bling.
The back seat isn't very useful however, while there is good leg room, head room is terrible. The worst part is waiting a year for the power assist to move the passenger seat forward and back. Hopefully they fixed this for the 05, but I haven't head anything about it.

i may be wrong, but didnt they negate the brembo's from the 6sp package?
great all around car otherwise, but a tad too feminine for my tastes. i have 2 friends who own the g35c and by coincidence they both happen to be female.
i also love the offsets that nissan chose for this vehicle. aftermarket wheels belong on this vehicle!

Awesome car! I test drove a 2003 6-speed coupe when they first came out, and came away very impressed. I drove it back to back with a 350Z and liked the G35C a lot better (mostly because they both felt sort of sedan-like, and I didn't mind that with the G35C). It has a nicer interior (compared to the 350Z), great shifter, and perfect balance of comfort and performance. I test drove in the rain with the salesperson next to me, so I couldn't get too silly with it, but I'm sure the car is a blast to drive hard.
