What would be your best DD + pleasure car combo?
If you were buying cars with a spending limit of $110K there are a several ways to go. For example:
Z06 (~66K) + nice DD like 330i/330Ci +PP
or
Z06 + FX35 awd
or
Cayman S + M45
or
Boxster S + LS430
or
911 S (~80K) + TSX
or
S2000 + 330i + Mustang GT500 (3 car combo)
You can go over the limit but try to keep it around $110K so F430 =
BTW lets say you have to get rid of what you got and start from scratch. Just for yourself so no need to buy a minivan for the kids or car for your wife.

I don't want two sports car so if I go with the Z06 that'd cut out any roadster. So I was thinking about going with a roadster + DD (SLK or BS or S2000)
But in the end the Z06 seems to be so much more car for the money than anything else out there. Also I think the 330i/330Ci is the best DD for me (I don't know enough about the IS350 but that could bump the 330)
So I'll pick:
Z06 + 330Ci +pp as my DD

If I was foregoing the Tow rig, I'd get the CS above and a 06 Mustang GT (or STI) just for the rear seat capability - and to slap snows on for the winter.
EDIT - hmmm, just looked at Steve's post. Didn't even consider the S2000 since I've been thinking of getting rid of it for a replacement, but under this criteria:
997S and S2000
Track and SoloII
Perfect.

I think I have put together a pretty good collection at the moment. I've got a nice stable of three sporty cars, each with its own role, that I put together for well under $30,000 total for all of them:
1) 2000 Honda S2000 - great weekend summer car, autoXed regularly. I drive it to work when it's nice out too. Chicks dig it.
2) 1993 Honda Prelude VTEC - great daily driver, pretty good on gas, super comfy and quiet for those long highway trips, but still sporty and fun. I plan to start doing track day events again with it since it was cheap enough that I could wreck it an HPDE and not really loose any sleep over the loss.
3) 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R - The ultimate beater. Great for daily driving or short trips to the store. Good gas mileage. Surprisingly fast. Fantastic in the snow. I've done one RallyX event with it, and it worked great for that too!
The only thing I'm really lacking is a vehicle with some good cargo capacity to carry larger items around in... Hmmmm... Saab 9-2x Aero??
