[QUOTE=rai,Jun 6 2005, 08:23 PM] It looks good, it goes like stink and it's a great value
also :
You get big panel gaps, second-rate plastics, a live rear axle and numb controls, it's almost as long as an E-class yet it's rear seats are no more than a parcel shelf.

If you wouldn't mind having either car, I'd next check up on reliability, maintenance costs, gas costs, major repairs (like the rotary conking out), etc. Those may weigh into your decision because you don't want to be paying out the ying yang for a disposable car.
On the one hand you have Ford quality, on the other a rotary engine.

It is refreshing to read a review of the car that is honest enough to admit its shortcomings. The domestic car mags are caught somewhere between over enthusiasm for a good car and repaying that ad revenue from Ford.

Mustang for sure. The RX8 is the more refined car with a nicer interior, but the GT is just too much fun to pass up. I have driven both (the RX8 more than the GT) and there is no comparison in the "haul ass" category. Both cars suck down the gas, but the mustang sounds soooo much better sucking down that gallon every 15 miles.
