RSX Type S (Great all around car), or WRX (if he plans on modding later).

I second the vote on the RSX Type S. Just helped my little cousin buy his. Depends on what kind of car he is looking for. I am assuming he wants a sporty car that he can drive all year long in NJ. And the RSX would fit this nicely.

OH it has to be new i forgot to say.
My brother was thinking Celica GTS, since they got HID as an option now.

It really depends on what your brother wants to do with the car. In a recent test of the RSX, Celica, Mitsu Eclipse, Honda Accord V6 LX, and VW. The RSX was rated as having the best rear seat legroom. The Celica was particularly difficult to get in and out of. If he has more than 1 passanger with him a lot, that may be a consdideration. Also if he will be financing Mitsubishi is offering a sick no downpayment, no interest, no payments until 2004 special. That can't be beat from a financial point of view. Some other cars to consider, Mustang GT (not as nice interior, but V8), Celica (lighter than the RSX, key if you plan on fixing it up). You may laugh at these cars but the new Dodge Neon SRT-4 recently did a 5.8 0-60 and is under $20K, you can get a Ford Focus SVT, and a Jackson Racing SC, exhaust, & airflow for under $25K. Just some cars to consider. Personally I would go for a RSX Type S, or Mitsubishi Eclipse (not better than some of the example but the financials are unbeatable).

I would get the Subaru WRX. It's right around 25K, it's foor doors, very very quick, it's turbo, AWD and so much more. This is probably as practical as any car gets. And if you are into some speed this would be an awesome choice. And if you were to modify a WRX, you know how easy it is to get more HP and torque from a turbo! Besides what beats driving the car in Rain or Snow, and just as fast. Good luck to your brother in finding the right car!

I've never heard of anyone being interested in a car because of it's headlights. But, to each there own.

Yeah RSX type S has a good package with a 4yr. warranty.
I guess it's between that and the WRX.
