What is the LOUSIEST car you've driven.
After reading Scot's dissapointment at his loaner and having the nicest car you've ever driven thread, whats simply the worst and why?
Maybe its super ugly, maybe you owned it and it broke down all the time, maybe it drove horribly.
For me it was a rental experience on Maui. I wanted a convertible and and rented a 2002 Pontiac Firebird vert with a V6. It was practically new but was such a horrible nightmare of a car. Nothing was done right. The platform of the car dated back I think to the Camaro redesign in 1982 (20 years!) and it showed. The car had a turning radius that required backing up several times to get around our parking ramp. The interior was awful, it handled poorly, the doors were so clunky you would think it was a WWII military vehicle, and the transmission was so bad you'd think it was a 2 speed. It was a rattle trap even though the car had less than 6,000 miles on it. I thought the automaker should have been embarrassed to offer the car in the year 2002.
After a day and a half we begged the rental car place to take it back and they gave us a perfectly pleasant and capable Malibu. I've driven a 1972 Chrysler New Yorker the size of the USS Ronald Reagan, A rusty 76 Plymouth Volare, and a1951 Willy's Army Jeep, and all were an absolute dream when compared to a 2002 Pontiac Firebird convertible, my lousiest car experience.

2006 Chrysler Sebring convertible V6.
Most horrible driving experience of my life.
It actually made me hate cars for a few hours.
Horrible handling, horrible brakes, horribles power especially for a V6....just a bad bad bad car!

2003 Toyota Corolla CE. It was a rental car for when my S was in for extended maintenance. I opted for the 5-speed from the rental company because quite frankly I just cannot stand driving an automatic. After getting into the car and driving down the block I completely regretted my decision. The car sucked. The shifts weren't very smooth and you had to shove it into gear with force, it smelled horrid (though that's not Toyota's fault, it was the rental company's). But what I think was worst of all was the poor design of the recirculation button. You had to hold the button down for it to recirculate air which meant you had to drive a 5-speed car with 1 hand if you wanted to recirculate air. Horrible experience.
