The one pictured is a Pinninfarina car made back in '95 or '96 for the Sultan of Brunei family (his brother Prince Jefri if I recall...this was before he was exiled for losing billions secretly invested in the stock market), so it is more commonly known as the Ferrari FX "Sultan of Brunei". It is based on 512M internals but it has a very interesting F1 style tranny made by Prodrive (the folks that prep the Subaru World Rallye cars and developed the sequential 6sp for the Subie factory cars, and they also work with the F1 team BAR). The car sits in a museum here in the US.
From what I understand, the Sultan is not a car guy, but he has several family members who are. He apparently has no problem buying what ever they want even if it is a car that is specially built, of which I understand there are many including a Mythos copy and a 4 door Ferrari 456GT. I hear that the family has a garage facility with over 5000 very exotic cars with a complete staff of mechanics to care for them all. Must be nice. Of course this is also the guy that bought a 747 as a private jet, which was fitted with luxury appointments including gold plated faucets!

OK then!
As for the Sultan's custom cars... He has a 456MGT wagon... Maybe a sedan as well, but definitely a wagon. Not to mention his Pininfarina F50s, Koenig F50s, Hamann TT F50s, etc.

I don't think I've ever seen a Ferrari with a keyhole in the door like that!!!
...Except for the Fiero kit cars!!!
That garage/museum looks very cool though!!!

(often)wealth is inversely proportional to happiness....I'd rather work to own my vehicles than simply inherit a huge fortune and live off of the taxes and resultant poverty of my people(in the sultan's case). It disgusts me, because the people of Brunei are not wealthy, while their royal family is one of the most extravagant and opulent households left in the world.

Quick2K, I agree with you about the wealth/happiness relationship...but I have to admit that I'd like to TRY being exorbitantly wealthy just to see if I can be happy...

Prince Jefri's favorite color is yellow and in some issue of a mgazine years ago he had hundreds of cars just in yellow. They have all kinds of custom/one-off Bentley's, RR's, Ferrari's and Aston's made. That's what you can do when your the richest man in the world I guess. The Ferrari pictured above was in the magazine as well, I thought they had a red one too, I forget though, it really doesn't matter. Buying a $300,000 car for them is like a buying a shirt for us.
