i dont think there will be anything to 2008 at least
i think the s2000 will be like the nsx...not 15 years but close to 10 years before a replacement
BTW this car looks like competition to the RX8

In other words this may be a new concept vehicle and they might even name it something like S2000 but it's not an S2000 regardless. It's a 5 passenger sedan. The S2000 is a 2 seat sportscar. Even if they called it S2000 it wouldn't be one and would target an entirely different market segment. Dropping the production of a 2 seat RWD roadster is dropping production of the S2000 period. This is just another car.

This is a concept car named "XGA" and is somewhat close to S2000 bit not a successor of S2K. This XGA's engine will be a S2000's F2xC series engine. But drivetrain layout will be FF. The one HONDA is showing in motor show at japan will be 4WD though.
As for successor of S2000 there is one. Believe it or not, there is one... and they are making it. It will be 2 seater open sports car. I don't know if they will end up releasing it or not but they are making it right now...
