Whatever you do don't use vinyl. Its gonna look bad real soon. Use real leather its the best. It costs more but if you are going to do it, do it right. Good Luck

hard to believe that once u have a s2000, and u will spend money on a prelude. i had a 2000 auto prelude for 3 years. i modded its body kit and customized its paint. it cost me a total 19000 which includes car price. i decided to stop and sold it. i really regret too much because i lost at least 13000 bucks for having a stupid prelude. it was a crap.
the s2000 is like a weekend toy for me. the prelude is like a weekend project for me.

I dont wanan go crazy modding the s2000 beacuse its still under warranty.

I like working on cars, and the prelude gives me something to do with my spare time as well as acting as a great DD for now.

Once I start putting real money into it and finally complete, these two will serve as my weekend garage queens and I'll probably start a 3rd project.

I'm thinking MKIII supra--

hmmm... if you really like the car, then why not strip it instead? I'm sure you could probably sell some of the inside bits on ebay, lower the weight of the thing by a few hundre lb, buy a cage and swap the seats for Recaro's as was mentioned.

I wonder how light you could make that thing?

because i'm not trying to build a track car.

I dont know how to explain what I'm trying to build.

I want it to look great, be comfortable, be fast. not drag strip fast, but like 350z, corvette (non-z06) fast.

Its just my toy, no real like 'function' for it.

I'd still just replace the dash with a new one or a used one in good condition. Just my opinion.

Just because you riced out your Prelude and then took a huge loss when you went to sell it doesn't mean that other people can't still enjoy them.

Preludes are great cars - low-slung, sporty, comfortable, unique, and yet still quite practical. It's the perfect daily driver. There's nothing really left on the new car market today that compares with it. So I can understand why some people still have a seemingly irrational love for them. I
