I don't know about pricing, but it might actually be cheaper to replace it rather than custom cover it. Plus, you can usually find used dashes in decent shape for good prices.

I re wrapped the whole interior in white leather on my MR2, myself.

Came out pretty good. But, that was before the time of digital cameras. Sorry, no pics

It was really nice looking, and I spent less then 500 because i did it myself

how hard was it? i'm not good with a sewing machine... how did you wrap it and make it fit the dash tightly?

u are wasting your money. no matter what mod u have on a prelude. it's still a prelude. its interior wont be perfect, u will always find something which is not good because it's 16 years old.

sell your prelude. keep your s2000. problem will be solved.

i'm well aware that i'll never get my money back and that i'm probably the only one that would care to keep a prelude in perfect shape as I plan on doing.

I've got a special thing for preludes and as much as i love my s2000 i'd sooner sell it than I would my prelude.

Both of these vehicles will be with me for life, (if i can help it)

But if you are doing this for anyone else it just looks odd to see a new "fancy" interior in an old beater. Maybe you could mod it into a "sleeper" beast and do some recaro's etc in the interior.

People do odd things to old volkswagens etc... all the time.

Cars are most special when they are special to the owner.

I am not trying to win any shows here. Its my project done to how I like it.

And ultimately, I want a nice BMW Jet Black paint job, lowered on nice looking 18" rims, a built h22 swap, 5spd conversion with an LSD and turbo pushing in the 300 range.

a nice looking interior that comfortable and has all the toys. its really wierd to define what i'm going for here, but the only way i can think of to describe it, is as "mine" :-)

If something breaks, I'll fix it. I just dont ever plan on getting rid of it so I guess i'll be the only turd 20 years from now driving around in a random 92' Prelude (36 years old by then)

That is if all these tree hugging hippies dont outlaw gasoline by then.

On and by fancy, I dont think i'm going for show quality here, just looking like new + a little better.

everything will probably be wrapped in black leather/vynal the only color contrasts I'd consider doing is maybe some aluminum trim inserts (very little not a lot all over the place) and orange piping on the seats.

i forsee 20k at least to get it how i want it. keep in mind i'm not in a rush to do stuff, if it takes me 20k over the next 10 years i'm fine with that.

the S i probably ahve about 3 grand in it so far. i haven't done much just the rims drop and body kit.

hard to believe that once u have a s2000, and u will spend money on a prelude. i had a 2000 auto prelude for 3 years. i modded its body kit and customized its paint. it cost me a total 19000 which includes car price. i decided to stop and sold it. i really regret too much because i lost at least 13000 bucks for having a stupid prelude. it was a crap.
