What does it mean when the RPM does not change

Since I was not able to get the details of the transmission from the manufacturer's web site, I had to find it in a third-party web site. And the gear ratio is given as:
5th 1.000
6th 0.838
This certainly sounds legitimate. But I really did observe there was no change in the RPM shifting between these two gears at a constant 65 MPH. Thanks for all the discussions.

Funny how none of the car magazines noticed that fifth and sixth gears are identical. I wonder why that is.
