Thumbs down What do you guys think of this Viper?

I searched around and I think I could find a lot of the parts it needs for a decent price, my buddies dad can't paint, but I just don't know if its worth it, Salvage Title would be heard to sell down the road, however 10,500 miles is pretty low.

What do you guys think?

Don't do it. If it's a question of even saving 8K dollars over buying a non-damaged car, it's still not worth it. You will lose any money you save on the resale value. You'll pay a bit less now to have a salvaged car, but you will have to sell it for a lot less too.

I think it's a gamble but that'd be a hell of a car if fixed properly.

There is a quality viper on nsxprime going for 25k. Can't afford that then don't mess with a viper.

yeah, the windhsield frame is what is realling getting to me, I think that might be a very costly thing, I am pretty sure I could pick up the Top & hatch assembly unpainted for around $1,850.00 It seems that when its all said and done I would have purchased the car for $25,000, plus I dunno $10-15,000 to fix it properly but I would have to sell it for that $40,000 at the highest so I dunno,

sure is pretty and I love the Coupes, and only 10,000 miles, although if it was worth it to fix it I am sure the Insurance company would have, although I can spend the time and garage it and buy the parts used or for a lot cheaper then I am sure a Body shop would do it for I dunno,

Years ago i bought a salvaged motorcycle and it was without a doubt a waste of money and the biggest headache i've ever had to deal with when it came to vehicle ownership. Between finding the parts for a reasonable price, paint and the scrutinous DMV inspection i spent way more than it was worth and when it came time to sell nobody wanted to buy it and i practically gave it away next to nothing because i was tired of looking at it in my garage. I get pissed just thinking of the shit that i went through to get that bike on the road. Moral of the story: don't do it : )

If you have to ask, the answer s/b obvious. You'll know for sure when you find a no-brainer.

I didn't have a problem with it either till I saw the top and side. That thing is an expensive bird feeder or flower pot at this point.

Definite no.
