Well, you claim the RX8 gets around a track as quick as an M3. I was simply pointing out that what you read in magazines isn't always true.

But thanks for the heads up on my Wheaties; I was about to get breakfast. Lord knows I prefer my cereal with milk!

Really? If I recall correctly, when the S2000 first came out, Motor Trend tried a 0-60 run shifting at 5500 rpm and got a time of over 11 seconds.

Low-end torque is not one of our car's strengths, even in the '04...

I dont CLAIM anything. I'm pointing out what a BBC show did in the tests they made of the M3, 350Z and Rx-8.
Thanks for telling me about the Magazines, I really appreciate it.

What's not to like. It won numerous awards including Car & Driver's top 10, and somebody's car of the year cover (I forget who).

It's got 4 doors, 4 seat (all cool looking btw, esp red/blk combo), and is supposed to cut through curves like our S.

350Z guys will always play their torque card, but who cares, it's butt ugly (literally, the butt's ugly) IMO. And I saw that post by one of our members about the New Suby Forrester XTS (turbo version), that stated something like, "350Z owned by family of 4 and a dog in a suby or something". I couldn't find the link, but it was a funny ad.

My gf keeps thinking it's another S driving by when she see the front of the RX-8. Couple of past S owners traded in their S for an 8, I wouldn't just b/c I love my S.

Be happy w/ your car. There were some imperfections w/ our S when we first got it, but I'm glad I kept mine and not trade it in for anything. I would like to add to my collection some other toys though.
