We're looking at an 2004 V8 AWD model. They seem to depreciated very badly and the price is pretty good. Stickered for $54k now only around $20k.

For 20 k you can get one with those options with only around 35-40 k on it either a 04-05, personally not my bag, but seems like a lot of car for the money

They are really underrated - great SUVs, drive like cars (based on the CTS), and the panoramic moonroof is awesome - but early models had some flex issue I think with that top. Bottom line is they look good, stand out from the crow, and if they've depcreciated 50% aleady, you won't lose much on them now.

I hate the interior but otherwise like them a lot! Drive well, look fine, and as you said, the value of a used one is horrible compared to original price. Great value!

The newer ones have the much nicer interior - I'd almost be tempted (if I were you) to wait an extra year and get one of those.

This is a car / suv that we may buy used ourselves as a family hauler. Fairly cheap to buy, drive very well, and as someone else said, under rated. The one complaint I've heard from two people is that the outside drivers mirror blocks their view. It doesn't bother me at all when I drive them.

wow... I just checked ebay as well. For some reason, some of Cadillac's cars just don't hold their value, look at the Catera for instance... I guess, I'm going against what a lot of the people in this thread have said, but I think the SRX looks really nice in person.

Really nice car, my grandpa got one not too long ago, V8 with the really big sunroof and AWD. That top is REALLY cool. The V8 models have some pretty good acceleration too.
