i hope this car makes a big impact to start making ev or fcv cars. so at least my grand kids dont have to suffer from all the oil we have used up because of the cars of today.

I still think it's silly to encourage people to drive EV's. They seem better for the environment as long as you believe electricity comes from fairies and batteries are made from marshmallows and syrup.
I think they are a decent option in some situations, but it's hardly a solution. A sun-drenched locale where you can connect it to a solar array while at work makes sense. I can't see how plugging a car into the electric grid overnight solves very many problems. Especially not in an urban area that already has issues meeting electrical demand.

Seems like a great alternative as a 1-2 child soccer mom van replacement, but it doesn't seem practical in todays world. I mean, I guess if your driving is simply in town and you never leave. It could never be an effective vehicle to own alone. Seems to me if you're looking to save money, you'd be better off owning a yaris or something than owning a leaf + something else. Just seems like it's not practical enough and too much novelty to me.

Hmm, I don't think this would be a good car if youre 1) a student/person on a limited budget with only 1 car. and 2) have to drive very far, or live very far.
But again, props for them doing something different!!
