I usually have new cars so reliable to me is not having a lot of initial problems. My Sti is one of the most reliable cars I have had in this fashion, it tops most of my Hondas such as my S2000 that got a new clutch at 1K miles. I

reliable = less money to keep it and maintain
How is this for reliable; 91 Nissan truck ,135,000 miles and only in 03 changed the drive belts and shocks . The only repairs this truck has needed was a rear axle seal in 93 and then again other side in 03. $114 in unplanned repairs for 13 years of driving!

I usually buy high mileage cars for daily use that way I can save money for the toys.
List of cars with high mileage I had rocked and sold:
1986 Toyota Corrolla - 186,000
1987 CRX Si - 135,000 (junked do to snaped frame )
1989 Honda Civic 120,000
1991 Civic Hatch DX 224,000
1990 Integra LS - 147,000
1992 Eagle Talon TSi - 138,000 (350+hp)
1995 Camry LE - 146,000 (current and still rolling, want to get this one to 200K)
All with the exception of the 87 CRX were extemely reliable and sold for profits.

I'd call 50K miles without any major fix reliable. Congrats.
My '02 S2000 spent a whole lot more time in the shop than yours, the usual problems posted here, and I traded it in at 16K miles. I never considered it reliable compared to my Integra GSR that went 80K miles, mostly near redline, without a major fault.
