With dozens of luxo sedans able to hit 5.2-5.5 to sixty and 13.6-14 in the quarter... not exclusive enough these days to be FAST.
Sure 20 years ago, it would have been... but kind of like athletes 20 years ago... not so impressive by modern standards.
FAST to me is 3-4 standard deviations above the norm (>97th percentile) in performance... these days maybe <4.8 and <13?
Now VERY FAST maybe <4.5 and mid 12s...
With CRAZY FAST reserved for <4 and <12...

i agree with most of you guys.... 120mph in the qtr is fast. My cobra mustang did 116mph on street tires.... it was pretty damn fast.
My old 914 with a chevy 350 small block was damn fast.... i timed it from 60-100mph and it was faster than my cobra by about a second (i did it a few times to get an average)..... too bad it didn't have a nice big 930 transaxle to hold it together.

For cars -- 1/4 below 12.0, 0-60 below 5.0, but still completely streetable is what I call fast. I don't think of a stock Z06 or a stock '03 Cobra on OEM tires as "fast," Muscular, but not truly fast. Can't be a daily driver = doesn't count to me (trailer queens are everywhere).
For bikes you have to knock another second off the 1/4 and two seconds off 0-60 to be a "fast" bike.
