What to do with a totaled Camry?
My sister crashed my moms 99 Toyota Camry LE 4cyl. a few months back. While it was in the shop she renewed her insurance but only did liability because she was not going to get the car back for quite a while and she planned on renewing and upgrading to full coverage once she got it back.
Well she got it back about a week ago and before she was able to upgrade her insurance my sister crashed it again, this time into a pole. This time it is totaled and she will not be getting any insurance money.
So my question to you is what would you do with a totaled 99 toy camry le 4cyl w/major frontend damage? Part out, donate, sell PP, etc.
Thanks in advance

There isnt much you can do? I mean make your sister pay her back because she crashed the car 2 times jeez. Donate the car and write it off for taxes i guess? Sell the parts if you want but Its a camry so idk what you can get for the parts.

1. donate the car: probably the easiest thing to do. you get an additional tax benefit if you itemize your deductions
2. sell PP: this will probably take a while. at least until a mechanic finally decides to make an offer
3. all else fails: if your sister is the only one driving the car, trade it straight up for a golf cart

This is almost deja vue to me. I totaled my mom's 99 Camry LE a 5 years ago (totally not my fault). Insurance took the car though. I'm not sure what a donation company would do with a totaled car though. If you could donate it, I'm sure you'd get a decent tax right off instead of parting out stuff. OOOOOR, maybe you could do both. See what sells and donate the rest.
