What car would you get if you need back seats?

Have you driven one? I owned an '05 MINI S and it was very neutral if you are getting into the corners properly. You can actually get oversteer (I did on one offramp ) as well. When I the S is paid off, I plan in picking one up as a DD. Back seats are fine for a baby seat and small children/people.
Nope, but I'm sure it's fun to drive. Not as much fun as if it were RWD though. Not possible.

Fair enough, but its the most fun fwd I've ever driven/rode in. You should given one a drive for fun. Might change your mind on fwd...

I've driven both the old and new MCS, and I give them a big thumbs up. I'm not generally a fan of fwd, but they manage to be a hoot in spite of it. Plus there's no other car I can think of w/ the same combination of high fuel mileage and performance/fun factor.

Less than $30,000 I would say an Accord. An accord with almost all the features is about $30,000.

Unless you want a sports car then I don't know.

You can buy a (damaged) Porsche GT3 for about $40,000 and put back seats in it (they will do it for you).

The Mini is the most enjoyable fwd car I've ever been in, but its still not as fun as say a Miata.
