Ive been very tempted on trading my S2k for an audi TT recently. Id like to get the 3.2 V6 coupe. You can find decent milage (<50k) 02-03s for ~16k or less. Definately not as sporty and fun as the S2k, but for DD purposes a bit more comfortable and luxorious, plus the AWD is nice in the winter months if thats an issue for you.

i every other kid in my area didn't have one that they riced to death, i'd get a nice sti, just for the practicality of a bigger car, and a good fun car that was still stable enough for trips to the snow...
if you noticed, i said to the snow, not when it snows.... a little poke at you who actually get inconvenienced when it snows.

Anyone who tells you they enjoy the seasons and that it's an advantage to living in the snowbelt is full of sh*t.
People in California can see any season they like, they just need to drive to it.
I'd like my "default" season to be warm and sunny again. LOL!

S2k, and I did. If not the s2k, a 2006+ prt hardtop miata, a used boxster-S, pontiac solstice / saturn sky, or a used base C5.
It's ok to not want a C5 for whatever reason, but calling a car that breaks into the 7min. range on the nurburgring, does over 1.0gs on the skidpad, gets 18/28mpg and 405hp, and is dead reliable a POS, is just bias, imo. It's a great car. I have one, and I'm selling it because I wan ta more "pure" driving experience (the z06 is a bit numb in terms of feedback) - but a POS it is not. The interior isn't that great either, but my 53k mile z06 has held up WAY better than my gf's G37S with 16k miles on it which is already starting to creak and rattle. A real frame vs. a unibody helps a lot.

Just wanted to say that one of its redeeming qualities, is that it has held up better than a "luxury" g37s

^^^ Post-Renault, Nissan has really gone downhill IMO, so I'm not surprised.
Besides, no one is going to notice your interior if all they see are your tail-lights..... in the distance. LOL!

If it is the ricey look of the STI you don't like, you could almost squeeze into an 07 Limited that has leather interior, no wings, etc... I just traded mine in and got almost $27k for it though, and it had 11,500 miles. Maybe you can find one with higher miles for ~$20k.
Another car to consider is an MR2 Turbo. You could find one practically as-new for $20k.
