What car would you buy...
I've been debating the last few months and just can't make up my mind on what to get yet. I have about $30K to spend and have really been looking at Evo IX's and C5 Z06's.
I know they are two completely different cars but I don't necessary have any restrictions on what to get. It can be rwd, fwd, awd, convertible, 2-4 door, back seats to none, none of that matters at all. So I'm basically looking at a badass sports car... that's the only real limit I have! haha
Just thought I would see what you guys would do with $30K. Thanks for the help in advance!

that is a hard to answer question.
I have not driven an EVO
I have driven a C5 Z06 and it's one of the best cars I have driven.
Either car is supposed to be very good but totally different class of cars.
You say you are looking for a bad-ass sports car and to me the Z06 is it.
If I was going to keep my S2000, I'd get an Evo if I was going to replace my S2000 I'd get a Z06 since it's a sports car.
I'd also consider a S2000 (or Elise since sun and light-weight (both) are not included in you picks. Although the Z06 is not heavy per-se it's ~300 lbs more than the S2000 and ~1300 lbs more than the Elise.

Look at your lifestyle, and buy what suites you best. Corvette, nil trunk space, not very practical. Two seater, not great in inclement weather.
Evo, four doors, big trunk, can drive all year long (even in snow) etc.
Both cars can be blazing fast, in all aspects.

I'd invest and pay myself for the future, so when I'm 40-50 I can reap the rewards and buy myself a 80-100k car
Since your are only in your 20's. I'd think the smartest move would be to save and invest it into something that will pay you back a return, instead of putting it into a liability. I remember reading somewhere "You don't want to be car-poor, only being able to cruise/drive the street, because you couldn't afford to hang out or go to dinner". Remember "shit happens" and you want to be prepared for it.
Anyways...if I had 30k to spend I'd wait because there are a shit load of new cars coming out right now: STI, EVO X, BMW 135, etc. If you can't wait I'd get a used G35 or Z for the power and torque.

of the two you chose I would go with the Vette but if you live in areas where there is snow I would get the EVO. why the vette for me? well everytime you see a vette mos people will look at it because they look fast just standing still. an evo blends in to the sedan except for that big spiler it has. both cars are fun to drive either way.
