What car is an upgrade to a STI/EVO?

Not alot of cars offer the level of overall performance, especially when considering their potential, of those cars for the money, so upgrading from that perspective may be a bit difficult. That said, there are alot of car that are an upgrade in driving experience, whether it be fun to drive or refinement. I think that's where the germans come into play, they offer alot of the performance but a lot more refinement. The likes of the s2000 offer a more engaging, pleasureful drive. And then there are muscle cars and vettes that offer alot of the punch but with a bit less effort and arguably less potential for ping ping boom. So I guess it's what you're looking for really. I'm at that sad age now where having a four door rental car with a big ol wing is somewhat offputting despite how much I respect their performance, and I just can't justify buying them new, and I'm too afraid of buying them used.

Funny that though, many people 'upgrade' from an evo/sti to a s2k and vice versa. 'Upgrade' is such a poor word, just find something within your price range, try something new to add spice to the mix

Agreed... just b/c it costs more usually doesnt mean its an 'upgrade'. Most often its just different altogether. Hey I upgraded from an s2000 to a Ridgeline, wut?!
