s8 with the happy v10....
but more wallet freindly

2011 comaro, cause the first year has way to many issues
mustang gt or higher models
really if you want light and sporty, plus wife/family friendly, you are looking at two very different cars, so get two different cars.
for 30k you could find a nice s2k ( or like car) and some nice family 4-door, like a honda toyota lexus acura ford or if you like repairs audi

i think i'll be looking at m3 or 135 to carry 4

We went 944 / S2000 / NSX but your need for back seats hammers that
I suppose a Mini Cooper S would be my choice for a reasonably light, practical & fun DD.
