Normally, I love steering feedback but for some reason the lack of feedback in the S never struck a nerve, infact... I almost kind of like it. The car, pedal, tires, sound give me plenty of feedback and I like how un-interupted the steering is. Point, shoot, go. Oddly enough; in a different car... one that didn't seem as alive as the S (i.e. a BMW 3 series), I'd be put off by a lack of steering feedback.

To be fair, I can't say I've ever been able to drive an S2000 since my Size 13s won't work with the pedals.
I wear 14's and have never had a problem with the pedals in our cars.

The car with the most feedback I've driven to this day has been a 2004 BMW 328ci
Unless you're not in North America... I don't think the 328ci was available in 2004

No lie. One has to ask what this person drove, seeing as no place in the world was there a 328 in 2004. Last one was in 2000, not resumed until 2007. Just another full of siht BMW fanboy.

And to the OP, to a person who drives a heavy sedan of course a ~2800 lb. S2000 "steers better." Damn near anything lighter would be a joy to drive, even if it was crap compared to other market options. Really just says nothing at all useful.

And why would they be narrow-minded?

It was probably a 330ci. No need to be an ass about it.

The S2000 has one the most precise steering responses ever; that's the objective part. The subjective part is steering feel.

Just curious - exactly how do you consider it to be among the most precise? First, we obviously need to exclude any cars w/ slop in the steering from consideration. After that, there are many sports cars w/ precise steering. I'd argue that the S2000's is less precise than normal b/c the quick steering ratio amplifies the movements of your hands. Think about it, if the steering ratio was doubled you would be able to more precisely pick your path. Don't get me wrong, I love the S2000's fast steering ratio, but when a little twitch of the wheel will send you all the way to the next lane, that's not precision (but lots of fun).

Video game like steering feel is the only reason why I sold my S2000.

It's just too numb and doesn't inspire confidence on the road.

Feels like there is nothing connected between the steering wheel and the front tires...
