I hope Toyota doesn't totally buy subaru and make them start selling the same type of boring cars that toyota makes now, but with 4WD.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Westerners tend to think of business competition in confrontational terms. Japanese businesses are a lot more comfortable with cooperation, even between "competitors", especially when it's between two Japanese companies.

It's going to take a lot more than that to get me to buy a Toyota. Their cars are just so boring. I can honestly say there is nothing at a toyota dealership that appeals to me.
