Hyundais have soggy pedals and shifters.
I wouldn't buy one without driving it for a while first.
If they're coming up with an engine that large making only 300hp, I'd say there should be room for performance upgrades under that hood.

Don't forget about turbo 4 banger and how many owners(teens as their first car) are gonna turn up the boost to see how much the motor can take before blowing. I see lots of warranty repairs for Hyundai due to over boosting.

Look out for Kia too...
personally, kia's and hyundai's are good for the first few years, but after that, they start to show their age. their interiors are comperable to the GM brand: not bad, but not on par with honda.
as for them holding their value, I wouldn't count on it. they rely too much on fleet sales (particularly rental fleets), so the used market will be flooded with them. thats a big reason why honda's keep their value over the years.

Well my "superior" Honda leather is not wearing that great for a car with only 17,xxx miles. And it's been garaged since I bought it in '03.
the way some other companies lay out their controls makes me wonder about their design teams.
granted, a lot of companies have been improving, honda's always been regarded as having the one of the better-designed interiors out there.

Damn I am actually quite impressed with that. They did a good job for their first attempt to come into that market. I will wait to see how it holds up prior to making any judgments on "it's still a hyundai" lol, cause we are still driving "just Honduhs"

Ford has a 4L V6(Mustang) putting out only 210hp...3.8L getting 300 ponies sounds better then Fords V6. I agree with the modding factor. I can just see numerous companies working on superchargers for that motor.
