VW GTi vs Civic Si
I just received my April Road & Track, and like Car & Driver, they picked the GTi over the Si in a comparison test. Clearly the GTi is a worthy competitor to the Si.

Well its vw, so i am sure the electrical problems are on the way. its boosted and makes only 3 more hp than the si. now i hate vw and i do love my hondas, but i would rather have a redline or cobalt ss sc, hell dare i say SRT4 than a GTI.

both seem like great cars, don't forget the gti will be easier to mod. The chip in the 1.8t really made a big difference in my friends car for only like $500.

but it'll be easier to mod a boosted car. People with the new mk v gti are already pushing 240-260hp/300 torq with just a chip (depending on which chip you go with and the gas octane in your state).

I'd personally take the Si, but both seem to be great cars (initially at least). My guess is the Si will sell better due to the brand/name and lower price.
Performance-spec wise, what did the magazine test show?
