^ Not in terms of powertrain, interior appointments, and, from what I've read, handling. The FX is better-looking, much cheaper, and more useful, though.

I'm not biased. I'm not married to a car (never understood why people seem so personally invested in a car that will be replaced by something else eventually). They will both be replaced within a year or so. We, actually, went shopping today for a replacement for the '05 (drove an ML350 and E350 wagon...liked the FX better than both, though...). Anyway, I think your claim re. cargo capacity has gotta be wrong, but I'm too lazy to google the stats. The FX does have a point for us, our dog fits in the back, pretty comfortably, even. There's no way Big Lucy's fittin' in the back of an X6 (I've checked it out at our local BMW store) with that roofline.
Google it Google it!!!!

The car looks stubby and disproportionate in many of the photos I have seen.

Actually, it is a tight well proportioned package that drives even better than it looks (and that's a big compliment considering how well it appeared to me in person).

First BMW I have ever driven and really wanted.

Okay, scratch that full on apology!!! We were both right. AOL got a real bogus number.

Wonder which stat on the X6 is right? Using the aol site, I also checked out the X3 and was impressed to see that it has 30 cu.ft. (and better fuel economy than the FX, I think). We're going to look at one now.
