There is a huge difference between the SRT-10 and GEN-2 cars. The SRT-10 is a better car in every way except maybe looks, but that is just my opinion.

Yeah, driving an S2000 is just amazing compared to a viper. I mean it's got really comfortable seats and the tilt wheel is great. The stereo is a huge step up too. I love driving down the road with the top down listening to tunes in the great factory setup. [/sarcasm]
Give me a break. An S2000 owner criticizing the ergonomics of a new viper is just silly.

Maybe you should take Plato and Tiffs job, beacuse they said it was basically the biggest pile of shit they have come across.
Car and driver (might have been road and track?) did a comparison of the top european super cars compared to the top american super cars. Basically Ford GT, viper srt-10, Z06, vs Ferrari 430, lambo something, and I think one other car.
The overall average difference between the american cars and the european cars was about a second! FWIW, on a full track that they were on thats hardly anything. They even said once you factor in how much more the european cars are, the american cars are MUCH better of a value.
Don't bash a viper just because its american, its a very competitive car now.
(I usually don't like american cars eithor so I'm not some pro-american guy I just respect a nice car when I see it)

regardless of what they think, the new viper is a top competitor.
However, for the price, I would find me a C6 Z06 instead. My family has had some bad experiences with Dodge products, and I don't think I could ever bring myself to purchase one....which is why I hate the SRT-4 so badly, no matter how fast/potentially fast it is. Its still a cheap-ass econobox made by Dodge. The combination of the two is disgusting.

The viper has the best seats available. Even better than any aftermarket seats i've seen. The bolsters are......massive. Excessive...
They're also muuuuuuuuuch more expensive.
Back when I had a Z06 i planned on getting a pair until I saw the price...

I drove my Uncle's RT-10 from St Louis to New Orleans. I felt every joint in the highway for about 700 miles. The side pipes made the interior hot as hell too. I then drove a 1976 TR6 990 miles from New Orleans to Columbus Ohio. The ride was better in the Viper--everything in life is relative.
Aside from that crap, the car was gobs of fun! Running a bright yellow viper across country gets noticed and people loved to see the car.
