It looked like the guy in the passengers seat was attempting to grab either the emergency brake or gear shift when they got near the turn....does anyone know the entire story behind that crash??

I have heard of several Vipers that lost their brakes on the track and caused bad accidents. There was one that sticks out here in Indiana where the guy was zipping down the straightaway and got to the end, where there was a SHARP right hand turn, his brakes went out, and he ended up trying to make the turn at over 100 mph but could not (it is a 55 mph turn). End result was flying off the track BACKWARDS and then going through a nearby cornfield still over 100 mph traveling backwards. Talk about scary.

 

I would rather go backwards than sideways! either way that is some scarry shit!

 

wow...... ya, wonder what the story was. That looked pretty bad too me. that wall stopped them pretty quickly!

 

Damn, I want to see a pic of the outside of the car.

 

Seen that before. Totally sucks. I would have liked to see that split screened with the exterior shot as well.
