Oh well. I can take a good joke, in fact I have a great sense of humour but joking about nationalities, especially in a totally unrelated conversation is just plain asking for it.
I take a lot of pride in my country just like a lot of americans take pride in the US. I don't like being singled out or "joked" about because of where I'm from.

You're right about the traffic cops. I lived in Ohio for a while and so many cops there and in Michigan.
