Video: C6 versus 997 GT3 RS
I tried to keep up with this guy, Steve Hill, but it just wasn't working out. I certainly tried though. He's typically the fastest guy on our track days (or certainly one of the top few). He was the only guy I couldn't keep up with or pass over the weekend. He's an excellent driver with a very fast car and very sticky slicks.

Great job on the driving but did this new vid really warrant a new thread?

Your line is not nearly as good as his. Your turn in angles are too close to the inside track and you spend too much time turning because of it.
You should come out wider and get a sharper turn in angle towards the apex of the turn. This will minimize your turn time and get your wheels turning straight faster to accelerate out of the turn.

I can't comment on this particular track as the video is low quality and the angle of the camera is really bad sometimes, but I find that depending on my tires the way I take corners for maximum effectiveness changes.
This is highlighted very obviously at my local track PIR where the CART cars take some very tight lines, well off the 'official' fastest line because they have so much grip. It's not nearly as cut and dry as you are making out.

was that an interior trim piece that fell off at 2:31?
kidding.
Nice driving. I think you shifted like 5 times the entire video, pretty awesome. So you've got what, I/E/tune on the C6? What is the guy rocking on his RS?
