Use iPhone as vid cam for track use?
I am looking at this app: TrackAddict HD
http://racerender.com/TrackAddict/Features.html
and set up my iPhone as a track vid cam.
What other app do you recommend besides TrackAddict HD?

There is also "Harry's Lap Timer". It is more expensive, though.
Have you installed TrackAddict? I cannot find a list of "pre-installed" tracks, like on Harry's Laptimer. I don't know how that works: does Trackaddict create the track layout during the first lap?

End up I bought the Harry's lap timer (pro) and RAM suction cup mount.
The HLT supposingly works well ... when it does works. I took the set up to 2 local track events. In both events the weather was hot and were well into 100F (more like 106F). And in all attempts to use the HLT, the iPhone had thermo shut down because of the overheating with HD vid recording and data recording.
Also data accuracy with 4s is boardlerline acceptable. The auto start/stop did not work on a loaded track. Adding ext. GPS reciever will improve the accuracy, but that's another +$100 of investment.
On to the RAM mount, it was rock solid and had no reason with hot weather and wind shield. My only complain is that in some setup (angle and position), i couldn't get the base of the suction cup out of the view of the 4s camera. but it can be fixed by relocation the mounting point on the wind shield.

I run Hary's laptimer professional on my iPhone 4 as well. I use the ram windshield mount and GoPoint OBDii BT as well. There are still some minor kinks, but I feel it might be my fault more than the app, as I kept moving the phone between my car and my friend's cars through out the day, causing the calibrations to constantly reset after each move.
